When do you need a Båtførerbevis/Boating license?

You must obtain a Boating License if you plan to operate a boat that is longer than 8 meters or has an engine with more than 25 hp.

The exam for a boating license is automated and computerized. Upon passing the exam for boating license, the boating license is issued.

The boating license is valid for recreational crafts that have a length haul of less than 15 meters.
